Devlog #8
Heart Far Away is complete! It took a lot of work from the whole team to get it done, and it was well worth it. The programmers especially did a wonderful job to make it a seamless experience.
Overall, I'm happy with what I contributed to the project. In the end, a lot of the work I did for sound design and the music didn't make it into the game as it was simply more difficult and time consuming than I expected, and the images I generated didn't make it into the final project either, but I can still say that I contributed and that's what matters most. I learned a valuable lesson about taking on tasks that I'm not familiar with. If I had to summarize that lesson, it would be: Don't be afraid to take on tasks in order to learn something new, just try to play to at least one of your strengths.
The team itself was amazing to work with, especially considering that I was rather slow with a lot of the work I wasn't familiar with. They were extremely understanding and generous, and it was much appreciated! the team spirits kept up throughout the whole project and everything ran very smoothly with minimal project.
it took a lot of teamwork, but with enough communication and dedication, we got through it and made a pretty good project considering the small amount of time, and it is definitely an end product that I am proud of.
