Devlog #7

Progress continues for Heart Far Away, and I've acquired some new roles too.

Overall, the team is working well together. I had to miss a couple of classes, but communication with the team wasn't hindered, and the team leader made sure to reach out to me every once in a while. Team communication is working as expected, and the team is working efficiently, which is really good to see.

Sound design is going well too. I had a hiccup in development due to being busy and going on vacation, but things are still moving along. The main UI interaction sounds are done, and I'm working on some stings and music for the game still. I've been working with Synthesizers to try and create my own unique sounds, and it's been very interesting though slightly more time consuming than expected. I'll have to decide soon if I want to record the music live or simply use a MIDI.

I was also asked to do a little bit of art for the game, which has been an interesting task so far. It isn't too much work which is nice, though it is also more challenging than expected. I'm using AI to help generate images since I'm not very good at digital art, and it's not as easy as you might expect. Getting the AI to make simple images rather than overly complex masterpieces has proven difficult and challenging, but feels like good experience for me for the future.

Overall, development is going well. I've had a few problems here and there and am slightly behind schedule, but it's good to see the game coming together in this last stretch.
