Devlog#5
A lot has been done in the pre-production. We organized and prioritized our plans for production, and have documentation ready to go. Now that we've prepared all the steps beforehand, we're ready to actually get to work and get things going.
Together our team worked on getting software off the ground to help organize the way we do sprints and assign/plan tasks. Originally we used Monday, though after learning some more things about it and looking at other software (Trello and Jira), we decided to switch to Trello. This will allow us to more actively and properly plan out and execute sprints as a team.
I spent most of my time assembling the team's schedule and planning out the individual tasks that each of us will have to complete. Making the list of basic tasks that we all had to do was interesting, and gave me a good appreciation of what each role on the team might have to manage in the future. I didn't plan out individual minor details when organizing the tasks, and what I did was more about understanding general priorities, such as UI visuals as a whole, UI sounds as a whole, programming and debugging, and other such generalized tasks.
We have a basic prototype and idea of what the gameplay and UI would look like, along with a very general plan of how production will go. Playtesting is one of the next steps, which I greatly look forward to doing alongside my team.
